WR4 or WR4X — what's the difference?

The WR4X has 1.5" lugs compared to 1" on the WR4. This gives more aggressive traction in deep snow and soft terrain. The frame structure is identical.

Does it affect handling?

It's the opposite of what most people expect. Nordtrack systems are engineered to preserve steering response. Most customers say it drives like butter — you feel the difference on the first corner.

Can I drive on asphalt?

Yes, but we recommend limiting speed on hard surfaces to extend lug life. Nordtrack tracks are optimized for snow, ice and soft terrain.

Does it change the vehicle's center of gravity?

Vehicle height increases slightly, which can affect stability in tight high-speed corners. In normal off-road and snow conditions, stability is excellent.

How long does installation take?

Under an hour for most vehicles with two people. The first install takes a bit longer — from the second time on, it's 30 minutes.

Do I need special tools?
