Everything you need — installation, first ride and seasonal maintenance.
No professional mechanic needed. If you can change tires, you can install Nordtrack tracks.
Using a lifting device, raise the rear of the vehicle and install safety stands. Make sure the vehicle is completely immobile and the work area is safe.
Remove the rear wheels. Ensure that the wheel studs and wheel hubs are completely clean.
Remove the CV joint guards, if applicable.
Install the rear wheel spacer and torque to 88 N·m (65 lb·ft). Attach the track system to the rear wheel hub using the supplied nuts.
NOTE: Remove the rubber hub protector if present. Ensure the axle nut cotter pin does not interfere with the track system hub. Torque wheel nuts to the vehicle manufacturer's specification.
Position the rear bracket (refer to the attached spec sheet). Replace the original bolts and nuts with the supplied hardware. Torque the assembly to 88 N·m (65 lb·ft).
Attach the suspension to the inner rail of the track and torque to 50 N·m (37 lb·ft).
Verify the suspension adjustment. If the shocks are adjustable, set them to the firmest setting to maximize clearance between the track systems and the vehicle fenders.
Take it easy for the first 2 km. Let the system break in before pushing to full speed.
Stop after 30 minutes and recheck track tension. Slight initial slack is normal.
After your first outing, re-torque all bolts. Standard precaution for any new mechanical system.
Take care of your Nordtrack and it will take care of you.
